Blog 3.5: I Interviewed My Idols

Blog 3.5: I Interviewed My Idols

I adjusted my polo, nervously fidgeting with my fingers. My heart is probably thumping out of my ribcage. I took a glance at my wristwatch, 8:55 am, it said. I'm five minutes early. I heard the bell chime. Holy flapadoodles, they're here.

I stood up and came face to face with the five astonishing human beings.

"Good morning." I heard Liam say.

AHHHHHHHHHH. MY INNER FANGIRL IS ERUPTING. Okay basically, I'm interviewing my life- I mean my idols for my job, a writer.

"G-Good morning, I'm Jamie and I'll be interviewing you for Fabulous Magazine." I said, shaking their hands one by one. I hope I sound professional.

"Hello, Jamie." they chorused and I can feel the butterflies fluttering in my stomach. Or should I call them flutterflies?

I know, I sound ridiculous. I can't help it, ONE DIRECTION IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND I COULD JUST KISS THEM. Jamie, calm your nerves. DON'T MESS AROUND.

"Sit down, sit down." I said motioning them to sit on thee two large couches in front of my loveseat.

"Thank you so much for granting me this interview. The Fabulous Magazine and I are very grateful to have you here." I told them.

"Thank you so much for inviting us. We're grateful as well." Harry said, his British accented, deep, husky voice rang in my ears.

"Okay. Before I start with the interview. Advance happy birthday, Louis. And Advance Merry Christmas to you all." I greeted.

"Thank you, Jamie. Advance Merry Christmas to you too." Louis said. Oh God, he's my bias ever since.

"Can I start with the first question?"

"Sure." Niall answered, his thick Irish accent very evident.

"It's Christmas and you're still working. Why did you accepted this interview even though its already the 23rd of December?"

"Yeah, it's hard, really. But you just have to accept the fact the we're really busy with a tight and hectic schedule. We promised our fans this interview. We don't want them to be disappointed." Zayn answered.

"Yes. Zayn's right. We really wanted to be with our family but we know they understand. We'll be home tomorrow anyway." Liam added.

"Tell me about you're released album, Midnight Memories. It has become the fastest selling album in Amazon UK's 15 year history. It broke the record you set from your previous album, Take Me Home."

"Thanks for the fans. They're really awesome. I mean we we're just five normal lads singing and they love us so much." Harry answered. It's our pleasure.

"I know. Your fans are definitely crazy. You're the first group in history to debut at number 1 with your first three albums." I said.

The boys laughed at this.

"But many criticized your album. Many praised its lyrical depth and musical composition. Some said it was not catchy as your previous songs before. They said the new songs are "forgetful" and "not special" anymore." The boys nodded. "What can you say about this?"

"We can not definitely please everyone." Louis started. The boys laughed. "We wanted something new. Something that would say we're men now. Maybe we just wanted that they'll see us as men not boys as what we were three years ago." he said.

"Yeah. We really loved recording this album. I mean, we entitled this album 'Midnight Memories' because we basically record and wrote the songs between midnight to 5 am." Niall said.

"And you personally wrote some of the songs." I said.

"Yes. Louis and Liam wrote most of them." Zayn said.

"Okay, anyway. I have many questions I've been dying to ask." I said.

"We shouldn't be nervous, right?" Harry asked and we all laughed.

"Okay first, who's single and who's not?" I asked. They laughed and I heard Louis say "Of course."

"I'm single." Niall stated.

"I'm single as well." Harry.

"I'm very much taken by Perrie of Little Mix." Zayn answered.

I'm taken with my lovely Eleanor." Louis said.

"And Liam? I've heard you're dating Sophia Smith?" I asked.

"You'll just have to find out." Liam winked.

I chuckled before proceeding to the next question. "Why 'One Direction'?"

"Harry though of that name." Liam said.

"Well, we're five lads who wanted to go one way together. That's why we named ourselves One Direction." Harry answered.

"I''l state two things and you have to answer one by one." I said and they nodded.

"Black or white?"

"White."- Niall

"Black."- Harry

"Black."- Zayn

"White."- Louis

"Black."- Liam

"Apple or banana?"

"I'll pass." Niall said.

"No you can't." I chuckled.

"Do I really have to?! It's hard! I love food!" Niall said.

We all laughed. "Fine, bananas."

"Apple."- Harry

"Apple."- Zayn

"Bananas."- Louis winked.

"Apple."- Liam.

'Shirtless, shirt on?" I asked and they laughed.

"Shirt on." Niall

"Shirtless." Harry

"Shirt on." Zayn

"Shirt on." Louis

"Shirtless." Liam

"Up All Night, Take Me Home or Midnight Memories?"

"Definitely Midnight Memories." They said in chorus.

I laughed. "Thank you so much for this boys." I said.

We all hugged and exchanged numbers.

After they left, I heaved a sigh.

"WOW."

Blog 3.4: 9 Pads of CNSHS

Blog 3.4: 9 Pads of CNSHS

I open my eyes, shocked that I was in a place all too familiar. Cavite National Science High School. I felt shivers run down my spine. I entered the gate not knowing what would be in stock for me.

The first thing I saw were students, they were in a line, writing their names in a sheet of paper with the huge "LATE" on top of it. I saw someone familiar, a fourth year student watching the late students. I tapped her shoulder but she didn't notice me. I tried to speak and say her name but no voice came out. And I knew deep inside, this is the first pad of CNSHS.

Off to the second pad, I walked to my right seeing a room I was in for a couple of times. The Guidance Office. I wasn't in there because of violations but because of some times I need to perform music. But from what I heard, it was terrible if you get inside because of violations.

The third pad was the Learning and Resource Center, where I barely get inside this year. I just go inside when I need to borrow research papers and that was like for three times. It was hot inside and I'm itching to leave.

I walked straightly to a place I was afraid of. The Science Center. When I was still a first year student, I'm always trembling to get inside there. Trying my best not to faint, I walked to the right, to the first and second year building.

The fourth pad, I enjoyed my days inside those classrooms. But I know that I've done a lot of sins there. I saw students trying their best to answer and understand the lessons, I proceeded to the fifth pad.

The CAT room. A man was inside, I knew him but I was afraid of him.

The sixth pad, the Maliksi Building. A place where I had genuine bonds with my bestest classmates and friends and teachers.

I continued walking to the seventh pad, the fourth year building. I stared at the building, hoping that I will experience walking inside them and claim myself a fourth year and graduating student.

The eight pad, the Canteen 2. I spend my money to.

The ninth pad was a place I never entered, a place that wasn't familiar to me. It is the Principal's Office. The principal inside decides who to expel and who to save. Who to give credit and who to ignore.

I sighed in relief as I finally reached the gate. And the last thing I remembered was when I stepped outside.

I opened my eyes, waking up from a strange dream. I looked around, I was inside my service as we enter the gates of the school I attend to for the past three years. I nod in determination. I will do my best in this school, with my friends, family and God's guidance.

Blog 3.3: Texting

Blog 3.3: Texting

Texting is a way of communication. Using cellular phones, you can easily send a message to a loved one across the globe. But texting has a bad effect on some teenagers, specially in the Philippines.

Take this picture for example.

A simple "Hello po. Dito na po ako." will take about ten unnecessary characters. This way of texting is called "Jejemon." A famous way of texting in the Philippines.

This also indicates laziness. Instead of typing the correct spelling and grammar, you'll type shortcuts like:

BRB -> be right back
OTW -> on the way
ILY -> I love you.
IMY -> I miss you.
ROFL -> roll on the floor laughing
LOL -> laugh out loud

and Tagalog words like:

namin -> nmn
afternoon -> afty
ako -> aq

Why do you have to tyF lyK dEs if you could just type like this?!

Jejemon texts don't look cool, jejemon texts are merely wreckers of spelling and grammar.

Blog 3.2: How Worthy is my Sembreak?

In all honesty, my sembreak wasn't spent productively. On the first day, I did all my homeworks, which made me proud. XD Then one routine happened on the next days. I watched all the episodes of Ao no Exorcist (an anime). I ate lunch, watched movies, read stories in Wattpad, watched the television, eat dinner, watched the telly, read and wrote drafts for my stories then sleep.
